River Rock is a vertically integrated real estate development and management company specializing in residential single and multi-family communities. We have completed over $5.5B in value-add real estate investments throughout the Southeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions in partnership with our investors. Through a combined experience of 100+ years in the development, construction, and management of residential communities our team has created over 20 build to rent neighborhoods, adding much needed inventory to the U.S. housing stock.

The newest addition to our residential real estate development inventory is our multi-family, attached, ranch-style rental communities. These developments are for those who want the benefits of a single-family home, but without the upkeep. Each of these An Easy Living Community® projects provides its residence with an easy, maintenance-free lifestyle.

Dan Hughes
Dan HughesCo-Founder and Co-CEO
Dan guides the strategic direction of the firm and its subsidiaries, develops and negotiates all key strategic relationships with investors, partners and lenders, and sits on the Executive Investment Committee that approves the allocation of the Firm’s resources to all investments. He also oversees all Finance, Accounting and Technology areas of the Firm.
Jerry Mosley
Jerry MosleyCo-Founder and Co-CEO
In 2010, Jerry co-founded River Rock Capital Partners with Dan Hughes. In 2012, Jerry joined The Blackstone Team, the largest private equity firm in the world, to help create what became Invitation Homes (IH) while Dan continued to grow RRCP and source assets to institutional Investors. As Regional President at IH (and an Equity Partner with Blackstone), Jerry created a team that assisted in the acquisition, renovation and management of over 50,000 Single Family Rental homes and grow IH to the largest homeowner in America. In 2015, and upon IH becoming a public company Jerry re-joined River Rock Capital Partners.
Alan Scharsu

Alan is responsible for all facets of accounting, finance, HR, SOX compliance and IT including financial statements, internal/external audits, policy/procedures enforcement & documentation, interaction with investors, lenders & banks, employee benefits, supporting acquisitions, dispositions and project financing and refinancing.
Amiee Marenna
Amiee MarennaCorporate Controller
Amiee is responsible for project tracking, cash management, and consolidating the many entities for financial statement reporting. She works closely with the accounting team to maintain high standards of reporting and vendor relationships.
Austin Hughes
Austin HughesDirector of Acquisitions
Austin is responsible for spearheading land and project acquisitions for the firm. He works with both the Acquisitions and Development Teams to identify investment opportunities and manage ongoing ground-up development projects.
Lawrence Larisma

Lawrence leads the capital raising initiatives as well as the origination and execution of real estate development, acquisition, and investment transactions of the firm.
Sean Cullen

Sean is responsible for procuring all site entitlements, performing site feasibility analyses, hiring & coordinating design development professionals & working with the general contractors to effectively schedule the sequence of construction for each development.

Jason and his superior team of construction superintendents have developed multiple communities throughout Charlotte and Raleigh markets for our institutional buyers such as Man Group and Walton Bridge Tower.
Brad Thomas

Brad’s primary role at River Rock is to work with the development director in all phases of the firm’s real estate projects .With extensive in the field knowledge of construction and development he works seamlessly in coordination with the design and construction teams to help facilitate every project towards successful completion, on-time and within budget.

Chasity is responsible for managing existing vendor and subcontractor relationships as well as establishing new vendor partnerships for the firm.
Lauren Hutt
Lauren HuttOffice Manager
Lauren is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the River Rock office. She handles accounts payable, vendor management, HR, and payroll. She manages vendor accounts, invoices, and payments for the company as well.
