Director of Administration

Professional Background:
Lauren joined the River Rock team in 2020 after moving to North Carolina from her home state of Arkansas. Before that, she served in the United States Air Force, beginning her career in 2011 as an enlisted member. During her time on active duty, she was appointed as Deputy Disbursing Officer while simultaneously supervising financial management customer service offices at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts and Travis Air Force Base in California. She also earned a degree in Financial Management from the Community College of the Air Force.

What She Does at River Rock:
Lauren supports River Rock’s day-to-day operations across the business. She manages HR, payroll, benefits, insurance coordination, vendor relationships, and internal administrative processes. She also oversees accounts payable functions, including vendor setup, invoices, and payment coordination, while supporting broader accounting workflows, marketing and website updates, investor reporting, and administrative coordination for the construction and development teams.

What Drives Lauren:
Lauren enjoys being someone her teammates can rely on and values playing a supportive role in helping others succeed. She finds fulfillment in working collaboratively, solving problems, and contributing wherever she’s needed. She’s especially passionate about River Rock’s vision and the opportunity to help create communities that provide residents with an exceptional place to live.

Beyond Work:
Outside of River Rock, Lauren is involved in local child welfare organizations and has a personal connection to foster care, having adopted her daughter in 2024. She is also passionate about animal rescue and shares her home with a small collection of beloved dogs and cats. In her downtime, Lauren enjoys making quilts, bags, and stuffed animals. She’s a self-proclaimed connoisseur of exquisite fabric…better known as someone with a serious weakness for pretty fabric and an ever-growing stash for future projects.
